

Born in Memphis Tennessee, June 5, 1967.
Graduated from Beech High School, Hendersonville, TN. Class of 1986.
In 1986, enrolled in Belmont University's music business program. Developed relationships with other student musicians and started performing regularly.
Left school in 1988 to persue music full-time.
1990 -1993
1990, moved to Charlotte, NC and formed the musical group Thurn & Taxis. Toured extensively in the US.
Signed publishing Polygram records.
Founded Sneaky Place recording studio in Charlotte, NC.
As well as performing, duties in the studio included mixing and editing audio, repairing /troubleshooting recording equipment, and general facility management.
1992 signed with Capitol Nashville’s ‘Liberty Records’. An album was recorded in Los Angeles, CA in the summer of the same year. Before the album was released, Capitol Nashville closed the Liberty Records office. Other labels made offers, but conflicts brought on by the first label experience forced the band to break up.
1993-2000
Returned to Nashville in 1993 with members of Thurn & Taxis. Formed the band, “Stella” Recorded demos at Alex The Great with Brad Jones (Jill Sobule). From this demo, signed with the British record label, “Beggars Banquet”. Released “Ascension” in 1996.
Toured US and Eastern Europe for the following two years. Recorded a second record, "American Weekend" that was not released until 2006.
Worked as a performer and a recording engineer on "American Weekend".
Developed and managed band website and social media content until 2006.

Stella disbanded in 1999. Played with various artists as a hired musician for recording sessions and touring 1999 – 2001.

In 2001, began working in the Vanderbilt University Procurement department as a Temporary Technical employee. Job duties included technical support for Dale McClendon, website development for surplus medical equipment, and technical assistance to the Light Hall Print-Shop. Completed Examinations and gained CompTia A+ Computer Hardware certification.
In 2002, hired byVanderbilt School of Medicine Educational Support Services to test a new scheduling database for medical school classrooms. Eventually, moved to full-time status as a Media Tech I. Returned to school in 2001 and received an AS in Computer Science and Interdisciplinary Studies. Re-classed as Media Tech III, assumed responsibilities including video editing and development for Cadaver Ball, classroom A/V equipment maintenance and installation, and classroom computer maintenance.
In 2006, gained CTS certification from InfoComm International and was elevated to a Media Technical Specialist. Charged with managing the Rich Media Content system, Media Site Live, for the medical school. This involved editing videos for streaming media, and developing podcasts of classroom lectures. Involvement in this lead to a co-authorship of an article published in “Medical Teachers”, Aug 2008 entitled “From music to macromolecules: Using rich media/podcast lecture recordings to enhance the preclinical educational experience.”
In 2007, moved to the Program in Human Simulation in the Center for Experiential Learning and Assessment, and was re-classed as a Computer Technician II.
Returned to school in 2009 to gain a BS in Information Technology. Completed coursework in Feburary of 2011. Currently scheduled to graduate in May of 2011.
