Alan Johnstone
This website developer is a southpaw native of Tennessee. He mostly grew up in the Nashville area and spent some time as an adult in North Carolina. He is an avid blogger, and is a class "A" computer and craft beer nerd.
He attended Belmont University from 1985 to 1987, but was lured away from school by the opportunity to tour professionally as a musician. In the down-time between touring and recording jobs, Alan worked as a scenic carpenter building sets for theatre, corporate events, and on cruise ships. He also worked as web developer, audio engineer, video editor and concert promoter/show settler with the companies, TechWorks and Great Big Shows, respectively. He has been credited as drummer on several record releases, and has been credited as drummer / audio engineer on a few. As a result, his work is available in cut-out bins across America

In 2000, Alan decided to stop touring and spend more time with his family. He gained his A.S. in computer science and accepted a position as a Media Specialist at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He is still at Vanderbilt School of Medicine, but is currently in charge of all things computer, web, video, and audio in the School of Medicine's PHS simulation center.
